I have been a bit surprised this week by my emotions. We have a bunch of “lasts” this week. Last soccer practice, last soccer games, last day of school….

I am SO excited for summer it is my favorite by far but I do know that Cannon has loved his teachers and friends and won’t see them next year as they will all be going on to different schools. We also have so much to look forward to so it’s just a little bitter sweet.

We started our day at Cannon’s swim school. We made a deal with him that he could have his own kayak if he swam from one side of the pool to the other on his own. Today HE DID IT! We are so proud.

We are picking it up tomorrow and I am so happy.

Emmy and I dropped by Target to get graduation goodies for Cannon, and of corse things we didn’t need as well.

After school we decorated Cannon’s mortar board for his graduation ceremony. He picked a space theme and I love it.

Then we went to Cannon’s last soccer practice for the season. We have loved his coach so we hope we are on his team again in the fall. Emmy loved playing at the park every Monday evening.

Then I worked on Cannon’s birthday invitation. I can’t believe he is going to be 6! I am also trying to figure out something really fun to do on Friday with the kids to celebrate our first official day of summer break. I can’t think of anything epic. In 2020 we were in lockdown and school had been out since March. In 2021 we left immediately after school for an epic Colorado road trip. We are headed to Mexico this year but not until Monday….so I need ideas.
