With a new year comes the fun of race planning. This year has been a struggle to decide what races to focus on. I have a terrible habit of wanting to do everything right away. To compound the problem I love triathlon but mostly doing Ironmans AND I love trail running specifically long races.
Honestly I would love to compete in a ironman in 2015 as well as run a 100 mile trail race. Is that possible? I have no idea. Is it smart? definitely not. So will there be a 100 mile race on the calendar in 2015 for me? I am not sure yet so I am planning out the first part of the year and see how it goes. I am certainly excited for the first part of the season:
February 14th – MOAB Red Hot 55k and 33k this is a beautiful trail race that I have been looking at for a couple years. So excited to get to race it this year, just hoping for good weather.
March 15th – Run Through Time Trail Marathon I had planned on running the half here a couple years ago but food poisoning kept us home. Fingers crossed for better circumstances this year!

May 2nd – Collegiate Peaks 50 Mile trail race – this is a big stretch, if necessary I could drop to the 25 mile but for now I gunning for the big show.

June 13th – Ironman Boulder 70.3 – I raced this in 2013 and really liked it.
July 26th – Ironman Canada I have unfinished business with with IM Canada and I am determined to show up ready to race in 2015 So that’s the list for the first part of 2015, it’s ambitious but the plan is to go big in 2015, because some day I may not be able to chase these dreams the way I can now. So what are your plans for 2015, do you have your races lined up?

You are definitely an endurance junkie! You love the long distance courses – which is very admirable. I am SOOOO excited that you are doing Ironman Canada. It will be so fun to meet up with you and to be out on the course with you. I wish we lived closer and could train together. At least I can cheer you on from afar as you train for so many remarkable events. I can’t believe you are doing a 50 mile run in May! So crazy. You are quite the runner – a girl after my own heart! Enjoy every moment!!!

SO impressed that you are an ultra runner and an iron(wo)man!! I can’t wait to see what you decide about the 100 mile run… I’m jealous your body could handle something like that to begin with, I don’t think mine ever could. I LOVE trail running though, and would love to do an ultra one day! How awesome that you are doing a trail race in Moab. We visited there a few years ago and loved it!
