Today was one of those simple summer days that I LOVE. We got up and had a slow morning, I didn’t sleep well so it took me much longer than usual to get going. Luckily my stomach was finally good enough to drink all the coffee.
Once I felt a little more human I sorted a mountain of laundry while the kids played then took the kids to the Library to switch out our books. I love the library so much.
The kids are obsessed with Halloween and wanted to rent this DVD, I convinced them to get a birthday themed one instead since it will soon be Cannon’s birthday!
After the library we visited a playground that we love. We were a little sad that the water was still off for the stream, hopefully it will be on soon since we are getting into the heat of the summer.
I am NOT used to the heat, and have embraced the fact that I just HATE running in the heat. I love running but if it’s too hot I get sick and it ruins my energy for the rest of the day. My solution to surviving summer heat is to avoid it. I get up early if I want to run outside, or I take to the treadmill. If I do end up running outside when it’s hot (rare) I try to wear light clothing and bring ice water with me. I also try to avoid racing in the summer so there is no need for me to acclimate.
