Celebraing the Season

Our Relator Sarah King, who we LOVE invited Cory and I to Denver Zoo’s, Zoo Lights. Happily my parents used Sarah to find their hours this fall too so they were invited as well. We all bundled up and headed out (and for me back to work, but I don’t mind, I still love the zoo even though I am there everyday)

It was so fun to have mom and dad there with us!

The lights are so pretty this year, I think it’s even better than last year.

It was a great way to spend a Tuesday night.
What are some of your favorite holiday traditions?

Love the zoo lights, but I think I love the lights at the Botanical Garden even more! Especially love the fun glasses that go with 🙂

When I was a kid, we had a count down to xmas thing, mom would tie 24 pieces of candy on this long felt piece, each day, you ate one piece, marking it one day closer to xmas, I loved that thing, she still has it, when its time for me to have youngins, it will be passed down to them

I’ve lived in Colorado nearly 25 years, and I’ve never been to Zoo Lights! Shame on me!

I LOVE zoo lights! I should probably take the kids to the Portland Zoo this year. We missed out last year 🙁

One of my favorite traditions is the baking of cookies and setting out of cookies, milk, and carrots for the reindeer. I won’t have too many of these Christmasas left where the kids believe that those half chewed carrots were eaten by real reindeer and not a hungry mama 🙂
